Recently one of my gf's broke up with her bf. This was the response of one of the guy's friend on his facebook wall. Nothing like a half-priced philosophers' opinion on relationships to devalue this always heartwretching and difficult time. Not only did he reveal that the couple has broken up multiple times, but he is insinuating that one or both parties were "selfish" in trying to make the relationship work. Normally I try not to shit over people's good intentioned two cents, but this was just too much.
(NAME), take it slow man, focus on your priorities. being mad over one issue is not wise. Look at the whole picture. Breaking up and getting back together more than twice can devalue the relationship. It will get thinner. At the moment, reflect the situation, weigh its values and determine the possibilities. I hope everything will be okay. ... Remember it takes two to tango. Both parties will suffer the consequence. Make sure it's worth the trouble/pain. Finding out what you like and what makes you happy is hard. But being happy is much more important for both parties than selfishness. I hope you realize something and execute a worthy action. Don't worry about making a right or wrong decision. That is where experience plays a critical role in your life.
